Rotaplast: Victoria Rotarians off to Cebu, Philippines

On October 11, two Greater Victoria Rotarians, Troy Alexander and Tricia Timmermans, will travel to Cebu in the Philippines as part of a Rotaplast team, along with veteran Rotaplast volunteer, Bent Harder of Courtenay, and three other District 5020 Rotarians from Olympia, WA.

  1. I am very much looking to participating in my first Rotaplast mission. My role will be that of Quartermaster, which I have come to discover is the chief shipper receiver, gopher, and hospitality suite organizer. Having never been to the Philippines this will also be an opportunity to see a new country and learn more about their culture. I have been told Rotaplast missions can be life changing experiences, both for those who we help and also for those who participate in them.

  2. The Rotary Club of Oak Bay is once again proud and pleased to support Tricia Timmermans for her second Rotaplast Mission to Cebu in the Philippines. This is a great project which changes the lives of several deserving children. Tricia's recent presentation of her previous Cebu Mission was an eye-opener in many ways. I am also pleased to read that Troy is also going on this mission to Cebu. Keep up the great work Tricia and Troy.
    Cheers!
